In June of 2013, I participated in a contest at the Minimate Multiverse celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Marvel Minimate line.
The idea behind my entry was to show the aesthetic differences the toy line had gone through over the course of those 10 years - one drawing of the initial release, and another drawing of the updated 'bulked' version of that same character.
I started with the 10 separate pencil drawings (2 for each character), then colored them through Photoshop.
The official entry was one piece, featuring all 10 drawings in one image. However, after the contest, I reassessed the image and decided that the drawings worked better as individual character profiles (which you see here).
